Workshop Loading

Workshop Loading is the process of assigning jobs to the workshop and allocating them to technicians.

Accessing Workshop Loading

Navigate to: DMS / Workshop / Workshop Loading

Loading Jobs to Workshop

Step 1: View Available Jobs

  • View all jobs ready for workshop
  • Filter by status, date, customer, vehicle
  • See job details and requirements

Step 2: Load Job to Workshop

  1. Select job from list
  2. Click "Load to Workshop"
  3. Job status changes to "B" (Booked)
  4. Job appears in workshop loading screen

Step 3: Assign to Technician

Assign jobs as "Assigned" or "Unassigned":

  • Assigned: Job allocated to specific technician
  • Unassigned: Job available for any technician

Job Assignment Methods

Service Manager Allocation

  • Service manager allocates jobs to technicians
  • Assign job number to technician
  • Assign via Workshop Loading screen
  • Assign based on technician skills
  • Assign based on technician availability
  • Assign based on workload balancing

Job Allocation Workflow

  1. Service manager views available jobs
  2. Select job and assign to technician
  3. Or provide job number to technician for clocking
  4. Technician receives job assignment notification
  5. Job status changes to "Assigned" or "B" (Booked) when loaded to workshop

  • View all jobs in workshop loading screen
  • Filter by technician, status, date
  • See job details and requirements
  • Assign/unassign jobs
  • View technician workload
  • Balance work distribution

Job Status in Workshop

  • B (Booked): Job loaded to workshop
  • Assigned: Job allocated to specific technician
  • Unassigned: Job available for any technician
  • In Progress: Work started on job
  • Complete: Work completed
